Lyrica is a bad drug. I took one pill and that drunk feeling started after a couple hours. Now I just want it out of my system. I have been taking Lyrica for 2 weeks now for nerve pain as I have a pinched L5 nerve in my back causing me horrible sciatica through my glutes and down my left leg.

I take 2 X 25mg per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. The first week was awful. I felt sick, dizzy, wobbly on my feet banging into things and like I was walking through water…very seeerrrrloooooowly.

I initially started on 1 a day for a about 3 days before taking 2. After one week the nerve pain burning, pins and needs, grabbing subsided tremendously along with those horrible side effects.

This small change seemed to help diminish the side effects. I am naturally on the low end of the blood pressure scale so this may have been a reason why it helped. I saw my Dr yesterday and she was would like me to stay on this dose and not go up to the initially prescribed 75mg for now. This is helping me a lot until I decide whether a microdiscectomy is for me or not regarding the pinched nerve. I have no other medical conditions and have never had a back problem before.

One thing that I have noticed as well, from an anxiety perspective, this drug seems to have helped. I hope that my post has helped at least one person. I have been taking Pregabalin for 5 and a half years. After two weeks at mg and one week at 25mg. Yesterday was my last pregabalin. However what can I expect in the way of side effects? I took lyrica for a little over a month 75 mg. I was ok the first 3 days then the drunkeness started.

Some days it lasted 3 or 4 hours. One day it lasted all day. I was miserable. All I wanted to do was sleep. I have drove a car since I started the drunkeness. I have been off of it almost 2 days and I am still in a drunken state. I hate it. On about day 6 or 7 and feel horrible. I had already over a month cut the dose in half.

I have been on lyrica for almost a year. I have MS. It worked but after around 8 months I got bad side effects. I feel like I am going to die. It has been 8 days since my last dose. And I still am having withdrawals. I have MS 2 years ago I was prescribed lyrica took 1 pill. I thought I was going to actually have a heart attack. Today against my better judgement my doctor prescribed me a low dose, after I told him what happened last time I tried it.

I took one mg dose. It completely shut down my body, I can not stand on my own 2 feet, dizzy, nausea, hard to breath, and shaking with chest pain.

I am bed bound until it gets out of my system. Never ever will I let a doctor convince me to try this medication again!

I feel so sick, and helpless. Notify me of followup comments via e-mail. You can also subscribe without commenting. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.
