Its my opinion only.. No Offences!! Lansdowne is not for shopping and sight seeing. Go if you want to take walks and enjoy the views. The hills are not deforested and are totally green unlike any other hill station in North India. Options for stay are at Deriyakhal- 3kms from the town and the town itself. Hotels in town are not worth staying as there is nothing you can do there. There is a small bazaar to loiter around. Deriyakhal hotels face the valley and the snow capped mountains.
